Psychotic Episode

Cynthia Lafortune, hospitalized for 6 weeks for decompensated schizophrenia due to non-adherence to treatment and alcohol abuse, is granted a temporary unaccompanied discharge for 3 hours as part of her preparation for a permanent departure. Upon her return, she heads straight to her room, soliloquizing, with a wobbly gait and the odor of alcohol. You go to her room to introduce yourself and discuss the progress of her discharge.
